I procrastinate making songs because I know I eventually start overthinking and the perfectionist in me comes out. After I discovered that a dear friend of mine made an album in ONE DAY as a fun experiment with a friend, I thought it would be fun and beneficial to challenge myself to make "an album" (more like an EP) but I'd give myself a week. It was a fun thought! An exciting thought! And then I realized I had to work six days in that week, and most of my shifts were full 8-10 hour shifts, plus life during a pandemmy and, Oh well, that's what mornings are for! (and 12am-3am). So here we have it, 4 songs. These songs, for the most part, are genuinely first attempts, approaches, whatever you wanna call it, and I just rolled with it. A lot of the time, an idea will surface and you start to create on it, but end up scrapping it because you're just not feeling it. With these songs, I knew I had a deadline and not much time on the clock, so I just went with it. I was really set on 4 tracks, and with today being the deadline, in the morning, I only had 3 songs kinda done. So I spent some time working on an idea just to completely scrap it, and then at 4pm, i whipped up the last track and did some quick mixing and by 9:30pm on thursday April 22, this fun little exercise is done! Hope you enjoy, also i am not gonna proof read this and i've been just stream of consciousness typing so blah blah fart dad!
